No Prep Minimally Invasive Veneers - Boca Raton
Dr. Pohl offers his patients their choice of premium porcelain veneer materials. DaVinci veneer products (as seen on the famous ABC-TV Extreme Makeover program) and the new popular non invasive, no prep veneer products commonly seen on TV.Increased and informed choices enable our patients to have Dr. Pohl creatively use laminate technologies that will produce the most cosmetic and functional result for different types of dental needs.
The new no prep minimally invasive or non invasive veneer products are becoming very appealing to discriminating patients. They are as thin as a contact lens and have the translucence qualities of your real teeth.Pain Free Veneer Laminates
The fitting process is virtually pain free. Unlike traditional porcelain veneers that require "tooth preparation" (i.e., existing tooth is ground down to accomodate a veneer), Dr. Pohl's veneers frequently eliminate the need for grinding or shaping of the existing tooth. This is on a case by case basis depending on the patient's wants and needs)For many patients there is no drilling... no grinding... no preparation whatsoever that would require the usual need for a local anesthetic. Because Lumineer laminates are the thinnest porcelain laminate materials available today, there is no risk of having veneers that make your teeth appear "fat" or unusually "thick" (a common complaint with veneer makeovers).
Diastema Treatment
Our patient, a 30 - something year old male, had several large and small diastemas. As can be seen in the adjacent photo, the patient's teeth were a bit undersized. Although traditional orthodontic treatment (braces) might have been a recommended treatment, our patient had no interest in a long term treatment that would not address the tooth size issue.Our patient specifically requested Lumineer veneers as his treatment of choice. Avoiding the traditional tooth preparation that accompanies standard veneer treatments was a major concern for the patient.
To accentuate and promote a natural appearance of larger teeth, Dr. Pohl used the Biolase WaterLase instruments for gum recontouring treatment to create an aesthetic gumline that followed the Rules of Golden Proportion. The harmony between the patient's gingiva and new tooth sizing produced the cosmetic outcome the patient was seeking.The post operative after photo demonstrates how dramatic cosmetic and smile makeover dentistry can be for patients who elect to use the Lumineer brand of veneer technologies.
