Immediate Denture: Bridgework Replacement

• Porcelain Bridge Treatment Alternative
  Live surgery example of removing a failed anterior upper bridge due to leakage and severe decay of underlying tooth structures and anchor points. Remaining tooth structures (roots) are extracted followed up with periodontal procedures to remove remaining diseased and infected tissues.
  
  Grafting procedures addressed the need for hard and soft tissue repair. Four (4) traditional implants are placed, which will required normal time for full osseointegration. Fitting of an immediate denture during same appointment enables patient to avoid being toothless while implants full integrate into the maxilla which will later become an implant supported prosthesis.
  
  
  
  
  
• Nobel Biocare NobelActive One Day Implant
  A live surgery video showing the use of the NobelActive implant used as an immediate loading, same day implant. The anterior tooth extraction presented optimal conditions of creating a healthy placement of an implant without the need for any grafting material nor extensive perio surgery. The bone compressing features of the implant creates an ideal fit into the patient's maxilla. A provisional acrylic crown is placed that provides a basic aesthetic result while the implant becomes fully osseointegrated.

• Imtec Implant Denture Anchors
  Demonstration video that provides a visual and narrated outline of the popular Imtec Mini Dental Implant products and procedures used in our practice for placing anchoring devices that are ideal for stabilizing dentures.
  
  Imtec implants can also be used as a provisional implant to secure immediate dentures of fixed bridgework while traditional implants or grafting sites are healing.
  
  
  

Periodontal Gum Tissue Replacement

• Assessing the Need for Gum Grafting
  A brief discussion of anatomical characteristics of gum recession and the assessment for developing treatment for gum tissue replacement grafts.
  
  In this particular case the recession discussion is limited to an upper jaw tooth structure. Relationships between soft tissue loss and impending hard tissue (bone) loss are further detailed.

  This animated video describes and outlines the principles of how tooth sensitivity develops due to eating or drinking acidic foods, over brushing and oral health conditions that alter the structural properties of dental enamel.
